Chelsea want Frenchman at any price

Metro  seem to be providing all the gossip this afternoon at the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that Chelsea are ready to offer Saint-Etienne any price for one of their top players.
The Blues and Jose Mourinho are so keen on defender Kurt Zouma that they have told the Ligue 1 side to name their price this summer as they attempt to lure him to Stamford Bridge and make him one of the new stars of Jose Mourinho’s second coming.
Mourinho considers the 18-year-old French Under-20 international to be the next Raphael Varane – who he of course brought into the first team at Real Madrid and saw the player’s stock rise considerably.
Now it seems Zouma is the next on his list and Mourinho is even thought to have approached the French side personally over a potential move.
The club are also thought to be set to join the race for Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney – who has made it known his favoured destination is that of Stamford Bridge and the Blues have also signed Andre Schurrle this summer so far. As with Mourinho’s first spell in charge, no expense is spared and Saint-Etienne are about to find that out with the Blues pursuit of Zouma.

Chelsea pondering a move for £38 Million teenage sensation

Chelsea are pondering a move for Schalke’s exciting attacking-midfielder Julian Draxler as the 19-year old player’s club have given assurances that they will not make the player inaccessible should any club come knocking on the door for his services. The Blues have already added Germany attacker Andre Schurrle to their embarrassing attacking riches, but it seems the Stamford Bridge club are thinking hard about a £38 million bid for Schalke whiz-kid, Draxler.
Draxler enjoyed a stellar campaign with Schalke during the previous season and his excellent performances have put him firmly under the spotlight, as it is reported that Arsenal were keen on securing the player’s services not too long ago.
Schalke, however have been wise enough to tie down the player till the 2018 season and only an extremely big offer will force the club’s hand to part ways with the player.
However, the Bundesliga club have said that they will not block any potential move for the player, should moneybags Chelsea or Real Madrid make their long-standing interest in the player official by lodging a bid.
Schalke’s CEO told German paper Express, ”It is not necessarily a bad thing when a club like Chelsea are interested. Julian is an important player for Schalke and we obviously want to hold on to him. However, if you want the best for someone, you will have to consider allowing him to move abroad at some point. What are we supposed to tell Julian when a club like Real Madrid make an enquiry for him? Tell him not to speak to them? That would simply be ridiculous. Those days are behind us now”.
However, Schalke could advise their star-player to carry on with the club for for one more season to aid his rapid development, but should a big-money offer be lodged for the player’s services, Draxler could yet move abroad during the summer transfer window.
